JONATHAN MCMAHON

BUSINESS AGENT

Jonathan is a proud third-generation, 22-year member of Steamfitters Local Union 420. He currently serves as an elected officer as a Business Agent and will be a candidate seeking re-election to the post.

His professional career began as an apprentice in 2003. He proceeded and completed the Steamfitters Local Union 420 Apprenticeship Program in 2008. With determination and desire, he acquired the technique of welding. This talent provides him with numerous welding certifications. By maintaining these qualifications, he is able to perform X-ray quality welding.

From 2013-2016, Jonathan served on the Delaware County AFL-CIO Committee. In 2016, he was elected as an officer to both the Local Union’s Executive Board and as a delegate to the 39th United Association Convention. In addition, since that time he has been an active member of the Bylaws Committee.

In 2019, he was elected as an officer to Business Agent. During his term as an elected officer, he served as a delegate to the 40th United Association Convention in 2021.

In 2022, I was re-elected as a Business Agent and currently serves and represents Local Union members in the territory that includes the City of Reading and Berks County as well as parts of Chester, Lebanon and Montgomery counties.

His tireless working relationship with various contractors and owners has secured necessary work for LU420 members. While performing this work, he routinely demonstrates integrity, loyalty, accountability, and reliability for the process.

Jonathan respectfully asks for members’ invaluable support and vote in re-electing him to the office of Business Agent so he can continue to serve and represent all the members of Steamfitters Local Union 420.
